50049 & 50031 Lickey Incline   On 25th March 2006 Pathfinder ran the the 'Redmire Rambler' taking two Class 50's from Cardiff to York and on to Redmire. 50049 ' Defiance' & 50031 'Hood' are pictured here tackling the Lickey Incline at Vigo in Bromsgrove at 07:58. The rear bogie on 50031 was at this point throwing out some smoke which effected the clarity of the coaching stock on this exposure.

The pair are seen here later on the main line at Water Orton at 08:44 having stopped to pick up at Birmingham New Street.

 
  The 19th August saw Arriva run a Fishguard centenary special and having been bowled by cloud on the outbound working I decided to go for a night shot at Cheltenham where 50049 'Defiance' is pictured, just before 22:00 with the 1Z51 Fishguard - Tyseley.
